Hear from Anna Haddad about how her golden apple is a reminder that hard work can change lives.
I keep the golden apple on my desk so I remember that—even on hard days—I’m making an impact, a difference in students' lives.
I became a teacher to make an impact on young people's lives, to be someone they can depend on, and to share my love for books and language with them while doing so. I value creating a safe learning environment, where students are free to cognitively engage in learning opportunities and become leaders of their generation. Teaching allows me to be involved in students' lives during formative years and share my love for literacy with them every day.
